
Ruth Frances Hibbard Miller Wyatt, 89, of Lucas, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Liberty Nursing Center. She was born April 15, 1921, in Rockcastle County, KY to the late Charles and Maude Ivy Hibbard. Ruth lived in the Mansfield and Lucas areas 60 years. Ruth attended the Reiley Centralized School in Reiley, Ohio where she was active in sports such as basketball and softball. Ruth spent several years as a homemaker for her husband and children, and after several years she worked at several factories and hospitals, retiring from Therm-O-Disc. Ruth loved to travel, fish, sew, listen to county music and church hymns.
Surviving are two daughters, Onna L. Amburgey of Findlay, OH and Sandra H. Reiter of Bellville, OH; three sons, Gary O. Jonni Wyatt of Mansfield, Roger C. Wyatt of Lucas and Charlie Anna Wyatt of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren, Barbara Williams, Diana Dennis, Paul W. Amburgey, Danny Amburgey all of Findlay, OH, Linda Jim Carder of Mansfield, Susan Brad McLeland of Monticello, IN, Michael Betty Reiter of Mansfield, Ruthie Wyatt of Burbank, CA, John Wyatt, Joshua Wyatt, Benjamin Wyatt and Amanda Wyatt all of Mansfield; 16 great grandchildren, Tyler Cooper, Tara Cooper, Jacob Haws, Alyssa Amburgey all of Findlay, Philip Carder, Samuel Carder, Jill Carder, David Carder, all of Mansfield, Jared McLeland, Carly McLeland both of Monticello, IN, Mallory Williams, Travis Jacobs both of Findlay, OH, Logan Wyatt of Akron, Josh Wyatt, Jr. of Mansfield, Zoe Wyatt and Nevaeh Wyatt both of Mansfield; one great-great-granddaughter, Sierra Jacobs; one sister, Naomi Browning of Fairfield, OH; sister-in-law, Thelma Hibbard of Hamilton, OH; and many nieces, nephews, special neighbors and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard Wyatt; one brother, Rudy Hibbard; and six sisters, Ruby Knipper, Clista Broshear, Josephine Lakes, Wanda Wallace, Anola Warren and Georgia Kirby.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the funeral home conducted by Rev. James Carder. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
