

Sadie O'Brien, 58, of Mansfield died unexpectedly, Monday September 30, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mrs. O'Brien was born January 6, 1944 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, she was raised in Chicago Heights, Illinois and moved to the Mansfield area in 1997. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church. Sadie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Surviving are six daughters and sons and their spouses, Shirley and Alonzo Smith of Warner Robbins, GA; Maxine and Christopher Williams of Columbus, OH; Minister Delisa and George Crawford of Mansfield, OH; Dywana Anderson of Columbus, OH; Carol and Fitzgerald Kelly Williams of Reynoldsburg; Bobby and Lillian Anderson of Columbus, OH; Xavier and Eula-Michelle Anderson of Mansfield, OH; and Jeanine Anderson of Columbus, OH; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bessie and Ray Lewis of Chicago, IL; Laurette Lynch of Chicago Heights, IL; and Diane and Thomas Martin of University Park, IL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eldridge Brown of Chicago Heights, IL; Wade Dye of Park Forest, IL; David and Rosa Dye of The Woodlands, TX; Larry and Donna McCoy of Richston Park, IL; Robert McCoy of Chicago, IL; 26 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of close relatives and friends, Annie 'Mickey' Harden of Las Vegas, Nevada; Marsha and Audrey Cheathem of Mansfield; Joyce and Lewis Stanback of Chicago Heights, IL; and Donald Pridgen of Chicago Heights, IL.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Willie Mae Dye; her husband, Donald O'Brien; one son, Tony Lane; one daughter, Bobbie Jean Anderson; one great-grandson, Quiari Lane; one brother, Jessie Brown; and one sister, Carrie Mae Collier.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday October 3, 2002 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Life Baptist Church 538 Wayne St. Mansfield, OH conducted by the Rev. Clarence Sanderfer. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
