

Sandra Kay Hoffman, 73, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 21, 2018, at Lexington Court Care Center. She was born September 12, 1945, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Leo and Harriett (McLaughlin) Harrington.
Sandra was employed as a secretary with Mansfield City Schools for 31 years, retiring 11 years ago. After her retirement, she began working part-time at Rite Aid to keep busy. Sandra spent hours gardening and her tender loving care of her plants was shown each year. She enjoyed taking care of her yard and flower beds. Listening to music was a favorite pastime. She was an excellent tennis player and won the Mansfield City News Journal tennis tournament two times. Sandra was a past member of First English Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jay Hoffman; son, Benjamin (JoAnn) Hoffman; daughter, Pamela Tester; five grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Jennifer, Amanda and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Derrick; two sisters, Betty J. Grapin of Arizona and Debra S. Poth of Mansfield; eight nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Harrington; mother, Harriett Rittinger and step father, Tony Rittinger; brother, Richard Harrington; and brother-in-law, Sam Poth.
Honoring Sandra's wishes there will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
