

Sandra J. Pauley, 76, of Ontario, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the OhioHealth Mansfield. She was born August 11, 1941, in Smithers, West Virginia, to the late Jess and Uvalda (Myers) Martin.
She graduated from Cedar Grove High School and had also attended West Virginia Institute of Technology. Sandra married her high school sweetheart, Charles "Charlie" D. Pauley, Jr. and they spent 39 fantastic years making many lasting memories until his passing. She was a strong, independent woman and was able to balance work and family life perfectly. She retired from McGinnis Concrete Equipment after 29 years of service. Sandra's most important job was being a great wife, mother and grandmother. Her caring, honest nature set a wonderful example for her family to follow. She was completely devoted to her family and lovingly known as "Nonnie" and "Nana" by her grandchildren. She was their biggest fan and enjoyed watching them participate in their respective sports.
Sandra was very social and enjoyed line dancing. She escaped the cold weather in Ohio by spending her winters in Texas at South Padre Island and Brownsville. She was a member of the Mansfield VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her fiancé, Richard Chadwick of Ontario; two sons, Richard "Rick" Pauley of Ontario and Brett W.(Heather) Pauley of Lexington; four grandchildren, Chad M. Pauley of Greensboro, NC, Tyler F. Pauley of London, U.K., Brett W. Pauley Jr. and Cole C. Pauley, both of Lexington; special aunt, Lillian Rece of CO; a nephew, Butch (Sherry) Ballard of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; a favorite cousin, Renae Comer of CO; and a sister-in-law, Beverly (Mike) Hedrick of Charleston, WV.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pauley Jr. on October 5, 2000; and her beloved sister, Patricia Ballard in December 2004.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Celebrant Mark Dettmer will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Mansfield Memorial Park.
