
Scott A. Thompson, 39, of Mansfield died early Monday morning, September 8, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. He was born March 31, 1964 in Mansfield to Charles D. and Barbara J. Jeffries Thompson and was an area resident his entire life. Scott was employed as a shift captain at Richland Correctional Institute. He attended First English Lutheran Church and was a member of Amvets Post #26. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Teri Seas Thompson; two daughters, Bailee Thompson and Maddisen Thompson, both at home and; son, Charles J. 'C.J.' Thompson at home; mother, Barbara J. Thompson of Mansfield; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Cheryl and Bill Zehner of Mansfield and Robin Vance of Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Thompson.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday, September 9 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Cloyd Kress, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church.
