Sharon enjoyed cooking, landscaping and other yard work. Her home displayed her wonderful ability to grow a beautiful garden and she enjoyed decorating inside and out. She is survived by her husband, Don Harris; two sons, Jeff Harris (Melvin Wagner) of Mansfield and Steve Harris (Annette) of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Jesse and Jake Harris; her father, Wilford "Bill" Thornton of Grand Rapids, MI; a sister, Alice Barnes (Phil) of Grand Rapids, MI; a niece, Angie Scarloto (Mark) and nephew, Mike Barnes (Sara), both of Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Hughes Thornton; and grandparents.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
