Shirley Osborne

Shirley K. Osborne, 63, passed away early Monday morning, September 15, 2008 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. She was born January 25, 1945 in Dayton and was a Mansfield area homemaker her entire life. Shirley will be remembered for her pleasant nature, even under difficult circumstances. She was a gift giver with a loving and kind spirit. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and crocheting. Many people may remember her from her days working at Mansfield Restaurant, McDonald's and Woodlawn Nursing Home.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Mack Osborne; brother, Larry Spradling of Columbus; a stepsister; Aunt, Marie Berry of Dayton; and her special feline friend, Punkin. She is also survived by her numerous friends and neighbors, Louise Hockensmith, Penny Richards, Dottie Schwomberger, Marie Foster, Barb Mabe, Bob and Karen Lane, Selena Hernandez, Wray Detrow, Laura Richards, Linda LaRose and Billie and John Rowlings. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Betty Gerhart and Leonard Howard.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Pastor Bill Lamb officiating. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
