Shoff Daugherty

Village in Ashland. Born November 1, 1911, in Monticello, KY, he was the son of Edgar and Lula Gregory Daugherty. He worked as the District Sanitarian for the Ohio Department of Health. He moved to Ashland in 1998 from Delaware, Ohio where he was very active at the Delaware Bible Church for 40 years. He loved to garden and was an avid Ohio State Fan.

He is survived by his wife Sue Reif Daugherty, whom he married February 4, 1945; children, Dr. Daniel Leigh Daugherty of Ashland, Dr. David Dr. Karen Daugherty of Houghton, NY, George Lisa Harmon of Ashley, Ohio and Jeanne Phil Thomas of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Kelly Chris Studley, Kate John Ward, Nathan Daugherty, Sean Daugherty, Shannon Daugherty, Lauren Daugherty, Jasmine Upchurch, Zac Thomas and Ellee Thomas; great-grandchildren, Rileigh and Hudson Studley , Micah Ward, Haven Upchurch and Gage Kenner. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 25, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, 1144 W Main St, Ashland, conducted by Pastor Norm Johnson and Pastor Marvin Hintz. Friends may call from 9:30-11:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mr. Daugherty.
