Shurlene Curatti

Shurlene Ann Scheurer Curatti, 79, of Mansfield, OH died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Mifflin Care Nursing Center in Mansfield, Ohio due to complications from multiple sclerosis. Shurlene was born on March 26, 1934 and raised in Mansfield, OH by her parents, John M. and Margaret Scheurer Armstrong. She attended Madison Senior High School. She was a secretary for many years at Volkswagen of America in Dublin, OH. Her family is forever grateful to have been blessed with such a special mother, grandmother, sister, relative, and friend. They would like to give a special thank you to Mifflin Care Center and Harbor Light Hospice who provided such wonderful compassion, comfort, love, and support throughout these last years and final days. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Surviving are her children, Melinda Curatti Harvey (John) of Virginia Beach, VA, Susan Darrow Stokes (Gary) of Alpharetta, GA, Arthur A. Curatti (Lisa) of Columbus, OH; brother, John Scheurer (Betty) of Mansfield, OH; and grandchildren, Lauren and Drew Darrow.

Shurlene was preceded in death by her parents, her kind and loving step-father, Richard Armstrong, and her ex-husband, Arthur R. Curatti.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 2:00p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, OH 44902. Family and friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Shurlene Curatti to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, North West Ohio Chapter, 401 Tomahawk Dr., Maumee, OH 43537.
