Stephen Robert Swanger, 52, of Mansfield, Ohio died Saturday morning at his home unexpectedly. Stephen was born October 13, 1952 in Mansfield, Ohio to Robert & Patricia Goff Swanger. He was employed with Ohio Valley as a quality assurance technician, was an avid fisherman and a member of Bass Masters.
Surviving are one daughter, Melisa Swanger of Troy, Oh.; one son and daughter-in-law, Donavon & Kathy Swanger of Shreve, Oh.; a grandson, Caden Swanger; his parents Robert and Patricia Swanger of Mansfield; brother, David Swanger of Fredericktown, Oh.; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy & Tom Bechley of Butler, Oh.; brother, Troy Swanger of Ashland, Oh.; one niece, Samantha Bechley; and one nephew, Benjamin Bechley.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday March 24, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Christopher Thomas. Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
