Steven "MeMo" George Remmer

Steven was born on August 1, 1950 in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Lee and Inez (Staple) Remmer. Steven retired from Bosch in Ashland, and was also had worked at Tappan for 18 years. He proudly served in the United States Army. He was a caring husband and a loving father who loved and cherished his family. He was known as the "Grill Master" by many as he loved to cook out. At an early age, he was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling in his spare time.

He leaves behind to cherish many wonderful memories his wife of 52 years, Ora Lee (Selmon) Remmer; his children, Frank (Felicia) Remmer, Kesha (Garfield) Chappell, and Steven (Dejanairah) Remmer II; his grandchildren, Diante Likely, Leah Remmer, Alora Remmer, Steven Remmer III, Ke'Shon Remmer, Jerrell Burley, Jazmyn Sherrood, Mychaela Brown, and De'janique Straton; his sisters, Ann (Wendell) Lindsay and Betty King; his brother, Lester Remmer; and many nieces, nephews, and very good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Ellen Richardson and Delores Young; and his brothers, Paul, Robert and Jeffrey Remmer.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the funeral home. Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad will perform full military honors at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Mansfield Cemetery.
