Steve was born August 18, 1957 to Portia A. Bowman (Smith) and Herbert L. Mull. A graduate of Lucas High School, he cherished the lifelong friendships he made at that time.
Steve loved riding motorcycles and visiting thrift stores, antique shops, and secondhand shops. He had an excellent sense of humor, and he remembered the name of every person that crossed his path.
Steve spent over 30 years living in Florida and working as a bartender in various nightclubs. He returned to Ohio to care for and be a beloved companion to his mother after she was widowed.
Steve is survived by his sister, Rhonda Butke (Mull); nieces, Monika Butke and Kristina Butke; nephew, Eric Butke; uncles, Wendell (Judy) Smith, Lawrence Smith; aunts, Janet (Jerry) Shearer, Barbara (Craig) Losche; and many beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
There will be a Gathering Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44902. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 AM at Ashland Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
