
Thelma L. Thomas, age 82, of Mansfield, died early Monday morning, September 2, 2002 at MedCentral-Mansfield following a brief illness. Mrs. Thomas was born August 25, 1920 in Shiloh, Ohio and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Thomas has spent her life as a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crocheting and playing bingo; she was also a life member of Amvets Auxiliary Post 26.
Surviving are; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur E. and Deborah Conklin of Mansfield, daughters, Thelma L. Ballitch of Mansfield, Sharon M. Hall of Mansfield, Grace J. Mosier of Lexington, Kentucky, daughter and son-in-law Susan L. and Daniel Totten of Kenton, Ohio; a son, Thomas E. Germann of Mansfield: also surviving are a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren one brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Sally Dibert of Mansfield. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Grace Tucker Smedley, her husband, Robert Thomas, one sister, Betty Sager.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services which will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2002, conducted by Pastor Richard Abney. Burial will follow in Lantz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
