
Theodore Roosevelt Evans, age 88, departed this life Tuesday, January 7, 2001 at the home of his daughter in South Bend, Indiana following an extended illness. Mr. Evans was born October 11, 1912 in Anson, Texas and moved to Mansfield in 1938. Mr. Evans was retired from Westinghouse and had also worked for Mansfield General Hospital for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Edna Randell Evans whom he married in 1931 in Anson, Texas: four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Diane Evans of Toledo, Ohio, Thomas Evans of Detroit, Michigan, Earl Dean Evans of Cincinnati, Ohio and James and Gloria Evans of Baton Rouge, Louisiana: one Daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Queen Elizabeth and Gary Green of South Bend, Indiana: eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jasper Evans of Big Spring, Texas and three sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Flakes of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Pennie Cravens of Anson, Texas and Mrs. Lucy Lee Moore of Los Angeles, California.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services, which will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Otto Thompson. Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery
