Ted enjoyed collecting postcards and motorcycling, but most of all reading, he was forever with a new book. He was a 1948 graduate of Ashland High School. Ted worked in the printing industry all his life and retired from Carey Color in Medina.
He is survived by two daughters, Kim (Mark) Strauss of Ashland and Lori (Paul) Salvisburg of Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley) Strauss, Ben Strauss, Joshua Salvisburg, Samantha Salvisburg and Callie Salvisburg.
In addition to his parents and his step father, George Ricker, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly A. (Fulmer) Hawley on November 23, 2015.
As per Ted's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place. A private family service will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Ted's name may be made to the Ashland Public Library.
