Theresa Griffith

Theresa Elizabeth Griffith, 86, of Land O' Lakes, Florida, ran into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 6, 2014. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 4, 1928, she resided in Mansfield, Ohio until 1988. After graduating from Bellville High School in 1946, she worked at Westinghouse Corp. until she fell in love with her late husband, George M. Griffith, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years.

During her life in Mansfield, she was a Brownie leader, 4 H leader, classroom mother, member of the Order of the Eastern Star and held office in Dolly Madison. She was employed with Sears for 13 years. Theresa was a member of Heritage Church of Lutz, Florida.

She is survived by her two daughters, Connie Pitts and Winnie Chastain, both of FL; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen (Dave) Grega of East Canton; three stepsons; and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Reidl.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Lucas, Ohio.
