Theresa Young

Theresa E. Rittinger Young, 85, formerly of Berlyn Court, Mansfield, died Wednesday evening November 17, 2004 at Woodlawn Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born July 29, 1919 in Mansfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Sophie Schmidt Rittinger. She retired from Ideal Electric and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mrs. Young was a caring, loving, compassionate and giving person who will be sadly missed. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was spending time with her son and daughter-in-law. The family wishes to thank the caring individuals at Woodlawn Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion they had given to Theresa.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Melody Young of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Young on October 6, 1988; three brothers, Frank, Tony and John Jr. Rittinger; and two sisters, Louise Pelasky and Elizabeth Bister.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday November 19, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where a vigil service conducted by Deacon Terry Philpott will be held at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday November 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Washington Congregational Church or St. Peter's Catholic Church.
