Tom loved his family so dearly, looking for arrowheads and the outdoors. I have fond memories of his fancy car and motorcycle when I was young. He would take us for rides  He will be missed by many and am so glad his suffering is over. Kristi and Nate we pray the Lord sustains you with amazing memories. He will always be with you. “The Lord is close to the broken hearted...”

So sorry to see Tom pass.  My Condolence to his family.  Tom was a good man to know growing up in Crestline.  Tom was good classmate who always had a nice hello to say.

He was a great person I knew for a long time. So sorry for your loss of your brother but he is still in peace now and know more pain went to school with Tom he has the Lord Jesus Christ in his life

I am so sorry for your loss was in the same class 1973. We were neighbors at one time when he lived on Washington Avenue our kids played together he was a very nice person Tom  he love the Lord Jesus Christ Bless you

I remember Tom around our house, hanging with my brother, Bob Salvati.  He was always such a great guy.  The picture that is here on this website, is how I remember him.  Always smiling.  My condolences to all of you.  He will be remembered always.

Sorry to hear Tom left us too early. My condolences to Tom’s family. I always enjoyed being around Tom. He always had a smile on his face. Growing up in Crestline during the summer we had these city wide ‘ditch’ games. Tom and crew (looking at you Steve Sherbondy) were on the south side of town. My crew was from the north side. We would meet at Kelley Park once in a while. Fun times. Jesus is holding Tom close now. John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

iam going to call you etler as I always did lol. cant believe your gone. you use to come into work and pay your electric bill every month that's how we kept in touch. came to our house and wanted to go frog giggin whatever that meant lol. well you showed me and I was upset lol. but you ate them frog legs so good for you. then the fish frys in our pole barn lol. o was jealous of you and scott at that time but you were such good friends and glad you were. had some good times at our house. hope your resting good and look up my son he left this earth 3 weeks before you. take care od each other. rest in peace my friend, see you soon.

So sorry to hear of Tom's passing.  I always loved going out to the Etlers.  Always had a good time.  I remember our parents playing cards until late at night.  Such a wonderful family.  I know your heartache.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Jody Farrow

Tom was my best friend growing up. I lived 2 houses down from his house on Etler drive. We played wiffle ball, football, and basketball in the neighborhood. At night in the summer there were some big games of Ditch. In the winter we would sled ride and ice skate. We fished in the creek and tracked rabbits and pheasants in the fields. Toms dad Don used to take Tom and me to the creek to check his traps in the fall. Tom had a real nice Irish Setter. We used to catch snakes in the land fill by the Southside Market. One day Tom was excited and told me that he had something to show me. We went into his bedroom and he had a real nice cage his dad had built for him. He pointed to the cage and told me to look into the corner. I saw something move which turned into quite a few somethings that happened to be baby snakes. I can still see the big smile on Tom’s face. Debbie wasn’t too happy about it lol. Tom and his family were a big part of my growing up. Some of my most cherished memories involved Tom, his Mom Wanda and Dad Don, Judy, Sandy and Debbie who took a lot of teasing from both of us! It made me sad when I heard of Tom passing.  I still have all those great memories that I shared with Tom. He will be missed.

Tom was a fun-loving man.  One of his hobbies was ice fishing. He was always hoping that the lake would freeze over enough so that he could go and fish. He even got his wife to go with him a few times. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and never forgotten.

Sharon, I cannot express enough how much I hurt for your loss. Tom was such a wonderful person to be around. Some of my fondness memories are with you and Tom. He always made everyone smile and laugh. We will all miss him so much! I loved him like a brother, and he always made me feel cared for in return.
