
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Twyla Harlene Hyatt; two children, Randal T. Hyatt and wife, Julie of Bosie, ID and Mrs. Darla Gilbert and husband, Stephan of Mansfield; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Heather Hyatt Taylor of Davenport, IA; sister-in-law, Mrs. Virginia Edmonds and husband Bruce; and sisters, Mrs Sara Kohler of Estero, FL, Mrs. Janet Lackey of Estero, FL, and Mrs. Mariellen Theaker of Mansfield. He is preceded in death by his son, Seth Stephen Hyatt, mother, Hazel Hyatt, and father, Kenneth Hyatt.
Tom began his life in auto repair in his father's filling station at the age of 12. After graduating from Union High School, he went to Spitzer's and then Met's Auto Supply. He began his own auto repair 26 years ago naming it TRS, standing for Tom, Randy, and Seth. He retired from this in November 2009. He also loved sports, including bowling and fishing, and was well versed in them. Forty-three years ago, the Lord drew him into his service at Diamond Hill Chapel as Head Usher, with Rev. Charles Elliott. He loved the Lord and has continued in faith and service. He has loved his family so, and he is so loved by his family and friends. His is going to be so dearly missed. The Lord has now called him home and he is in the loving arms of Jesus.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario, conducted by Rev. Donald Stallard and Rev. Edd Gayheart. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
