Thomas Rush

Thomas Rush, 51, of Mansfield, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a long battle with diabetes. Born July 7, 1955, in Mansfield, he was the son of Gilbert Martin Rush Sr. and Reneda Adkins Rush. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing and being with his family.

Survivors include his father, Gilbert Jacqueline Rush, Sr. of Mansfield; mother, Reneda Adkins Rush; children, Tina J.J. Spradling Goad, Thomas Liz Booth Rush, Tonya Rush, Trisha Rush, Theron Rush and Tara Rush, all of Mansfield; foster son, Chad McGuire of Mansfield; mother of his children, Tina Rush; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Janet McGuire and Velda 'Val' Rush; brother, Jonnie Iva Rush; two step brothers, Steve and Jan Henry; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were his brother, Gilbert Rush, Jr., grandson, Anthony Rush, stepbrother, David Henry and half sister, Michelle Rush.

Friends may call Monday, March 12 from 5-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Marc Patterson of Grace Bible Church in Lucas. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
