She was born in Marion in 1923, the only child of Don and Lottie Quaintance. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1941. Ginny was a member of St. John’s Church of Christ for over 70 years, where she volunteered her time in many ways including the kitchen committee. She and her husband were active volunteers in the community for many years, especially Richland Day Springs. She was an avid golfer and bowler, and also enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting, and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, William “Bill” Bauer; her daughters, Judy Bauer and Carol Stoddard, as well as her parents.
Ginny is survived by 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 112 Harcourt Rd., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
