Vivian Fortney

Vivian L. (Reynolds) Fortney, 52, of Mansfield, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born March 27, 1961 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Robert and Flossie Mary Lee (Majors) Reynolds. She graduated from Madison Senior High School and Mansfield Business College. Vivian obtained her STNA and loved to help people at group homes, especially the Ginsel House. She was a member of Maddox Memorial Church of God In Christ and the M.S. Society. Vivian was very much a people person, loving and taking care of the people and children around her. She enjoyed watching scary movies, listening to R. Kelly music and swimming.

She is survived by her husband, Emmite Fortney of Mansfield, whom she's been with since 1997; her faithful four legged companion, Lester; sister, Vickie Marie Reynolds and Peggy Ann Colvin; nieces and nephews, Labreece, Sharale, Londale, and Martina Colvin; aunt, Melba Jackson of Mansfield; great aunt, Corrine Sawyer of Covington, GA and a host of cousins and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sara Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Maddox Memorial Church of God in Christ, 1148 Walker Lake Rd., Mansfield, OH 44906, conducted by Elder Aaron Williams. Friends may call prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the church. The family will be receiving friends and family Thursday and Friday from 5:00-8:00 at 387 Spayer Lane. Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
