

Walter Wayne Schoenman, 42, of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly from a non-drug related heart attack on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 14, 1975 in Mansfield, OH. He was the son of Gary Schoenman Sr. and Karen (Burkepile) Payton.
Walt was a graduate of Madison High School. He worked at Skybox as a line operator, and was a hard worker who never missed work. Walt was the life of the party, always making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. He was a man that always saw the good in everyone and never had a bad word to say about anyone. His laugh was contagious and he loved to make people smile. Walt was a amazing listener and would give great advice to his friends and family and was a true and genuine friend. He was known as the "favorite uncle" to his nieces and nephews, and was a proud uncle that the children knew they could always count on to be there for them. His fun loving personality will be missed by all that knew him. The world will not be as much fun or such a happy place without him.
Walt is survived by his mother, Karen Payton of Mansfield; five nieces and nephews, Remmington Thompson, Trevor Schoenman, Aubrae Schoenman, Garrett Schoenman, and Ethan Schoenman all of Mansfield; great-niece, Adaleah Holt; sister, Angie Schoenman of Mansfield; his grandparents, Robert and Bonnie Burkepile of Mansfield; and an abundance of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Schoenman, Sr., brother, Jae Schoenman; Ruby; and his grandparents, Charles and Lillian Schoenman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 1:00pm at the family home at 863 5th Avenue, Mansfield, OH 44905.. The Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the family of Walter Schoenman.
