Wayne E. Koehler, 86, of Mansfield, died Sunday evening, April 2, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a sudden illness. Born May 22, 1919 in Millersburg, he was the son of De Ortha and Ava Starner Koehler. He retired from Wayne Mateer Ford as a service manager, and then went on to work at Shelby Auto Parts. Mr. Koehler was a member of the Hanley Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Freda Seamour Koehler; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne and Dana Koehler-Yeager of Mansfield; G. Michael Miller of Mt. Vernon, and Danny J. Miller of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. and Doug Tucker of Mansfield; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; cousins, Miriam and Bud Motter of Mansfield; and a host of good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services were held. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
