William W. Eberhardt, 75, of Mansfield, died Thursday, February 9, 2007, at MedCentral, Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. Born July 3, 1931, in Mansfield, he was the son of Ora and Mary Eberhardt. Mr. Eberhardt had been a golden glove boxer.
Surviving are three sons, William Eberhardt, Jr. of Mansfield, Ted Eberhardt of Mansfield and Carl Eberhardt of Hayesville; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Alice Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Donna Stuff and Mary Jane Oberholtzer; and one brother, Raymond Eberhardt.
There will be no calling hours or services held at this time. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
