
William 'Bill' Sabo, 86, of Mansfield died Friday evening, October 10, 2003 at MedCentral Crestline Rehab Unit. He was born February 25, 1917 in Akron, Ohio to Joseph and Katie Golub Sabo. Bill was a Mansfield area resident the past 32 years and was the former owner of Sabo Fastener and Supply. He was a member of Illinois Avenue Apostolic Christian Church and served as a medic with the U.S. Army during WWII.Bill went to be with his Lord after 57 years of devoted marriage to his surviving wife, Sophia Pamer Sabo. He was a loving father and grandfather to his son and daughter-in-law, Dean William and Linda Sabo of Phoenix, Arizona; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Fred Mohr of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Jacquie and David Wagner and Paula and David Keiper, all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jennifer Mohr and her husband, Alex Doroslovac, Stephanie Sabo, Renee Sabo, Karen Sabo, Holly Keiper, Christopher Keiper, Nathan Keiper, and Greg Wagner; and three great-grandchildren. He has two surviving sisters, Lena Misaras of Mansfield and Esther Jivan of Denver, Colorado; and several nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irene Cerveny; and brother, Carl Sabo. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday, October 13 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Illinois Avenue Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Avenue Apostolic Christian Church World Relief Fund.
