William Southard

William F. 'Willie' Southard, age 55, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 20, 2000.  Mr. Southard was born May 31, 1944 in Mansfield and has been a life long resident. He was retired from Armco Steel.  Mr. Southard attended Faith Community Church of Canton, Ohio, was a member of the Shiloh Lodge #544 F&AM, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Richland County Scottish Rite, Al Koran Temple, and a life member of United Steel Workers Local 169. He is survived by his wife, Mary Williams Miller Southard, his sons and daughters-in-law; Sean and Suzanne Southard of Torrance, California, Richard and Belinda Miller of Hamilton, Ohio, Andrew and Martha Miller of Willoughby, Ohio, his daughter; Bethe Luce of Akron, Ohio, his father Willie Southard and companion Vi Juday of Bellville, Ohio and two granddaughters; Stacey and Amanda Miller.  Preceding him in death are his mother, Mary and son, Randy.  Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 23, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Pastor Glen Osborn. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park.  .Just why God calls a loved one home, we can not fully know, but even in our deepest grief, as tear drops quickly flow, our faith beholds a brighter day. In that eternal land where we shall meet those dear to us and in God's presence stand.
