
Yule Geoffery Rigo, age 77, of Mansfield, died Saturday evening in Lexington Court Care Center following an extended illness. Mr. Rigo was born December 6, 1923 in Berea, Ohio and has been an area resident for fifty years. Mr. Rigo was an Insurance Salesperson for fifteen years and was a former educator in both Lexington and Mansfield School systems for twenty- six years. Mr. Rigo was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, a volunteer with the American Red Cross for many years and for a number of years was a Little League coach in Mansfield and had served his country during WW II in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law; John W. and Barbara Rigo of Columbus, OH, Tom G. and Marty Rigo of Hilliard, OH: two daughters and sons-in-law; Susan M. and Jerry Smith of Mansfield and Pamela J. and Clyde Payne of Lexington, OH: eight grandchildren and spouses, David and Michael Rigo, Samantha and husband David Brill, Danielle Rigo, Craig Smith, Tim and his wife Rachel Smith, Kelly and Stacy Smith: three great grandchildren, twins Chase and Chance Smith and Nicholas 'Cole' Rigo; one brother and sister-in-law, Henri S. and Dorothy Rigo of Cleveland, OH and one sister; Jane Rigo of Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Mr. Rigo was preceded in death by his parents Henri S. and Jane Tolan Rigo and in 1995 is wife Rhea Jean McClure Rigo.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday, August 14th from 7 to 9 p.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 15th at 11:00 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park Cemetery conducted by St. Peter's Catholic Church.
