

Bobbie Hammons Lyda passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 31 at her home in San Antonio, Texas.
Bobbie was born June 30, 1933 in Spicewood, Texas to Thomas Logan and Emma Linda Hammons.
She is survived by her brother and his wife, Harold and Doris Hammons; her brother- and sisters-in-law, Warren Lyda (Joyce), Nita Ruth Lyda Proffitt, and Martha Lyda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Murray Lyda, and by her parents.
Bobbie married her high school sweetheart, James Lyda, on January 25, 1951 and was devoted to her family for the rest of her life. James and Bobbie had three children: Jamie Lyda Atchley (husband Rick), James Thomas (Tom) Lyda (Malinda ) and Jana Lyda Mask (Kye). When her grandchildren were added to the family, her passion became experiencing life with her grandchildren.
She spent the months and days before her death proclaiming her joy in knowing how much God loves her, and her amazement at the incredible blessings in her life. She lived her last days giving her family joy in her life and peace in her death. What a gift and what a victory!
Arrangements: Memorial service will be Wednesday, February 5 at 1:00 p.m. at the Marble Falls Church of Christ, 711 Broadway, Marble Falls, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lone Star Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6800 Park Ten Blvd, Ste 131E, San Antonio, TX 78213.
