Coleen Jean Gregg passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2025. Born in 1962 in Hagerstown, Maryland, to Jon and Donna Williamson, she spent most of her childhood in San Jose, California, where she developed a love for sports, the outdoors, and time with family.
She cherished visits to Yuma, Arizona, with her grandparents, where fishing, singing, and sharing meals created some of her fondest memories. After graduating from Lynbrook High School in 1980, Coleen attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, earning a Bachelor of Science in Food Science. She worked in the food industry for several years, including time at Kellogg’s in San Jose, where she helped make Eggo waffles and Mrs. Smith’s pies.
In 1990, she married John Gregg in Cupertino, California, and in 1994, they moved to Marble Falls, Texas, where they raised their two sons, Justin and Christopher. Coleen dedicated herself to her family, supporting her boys in their soccer activities as both a coach and board member. She also taught water aerobics and managed family rental properties. Once her sons were grown, she spent a decade in banking, where she enjoyed building relationships with colleagues and customers.
Coleen was preceded in death by her father, Jon. She is survived by her mother, Donna; her brother, Cole (& Jennifer); her niece, Sierra; her nephew, Ian; her husband, John; her sons, Justin (& Ashley) and Christopher (& Cidney); and her grandsons, Riley, John Hudson, Carson, and Brooks. She is also survived by extended family, including Joan Williamson, Lynn Altmaier (& Pete), and Stephen Hoganauer.
Her family will celebrate her life at Spicewood Vineyards on February 26 at 2 PM. All who knew and loved her are welcome to join in remembering her kindness, strength, and the many ways she made life brighter for those around her.
