Gloria Jean McCain, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on 09/02/2025 at the age of 75. She was born on November 4 in Newton, Texas, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of everyone she met with her warmth, spunk, and unwavering faith.
Gloria lived a life of service, both to her family and to her community. She was known for her kind spirit, her strong work ethic, and love of family. She filled every room, and her quick wit entertained those around her.
Family was always at the center of Gloria’s heart. She dearly loved her children, but it was her grandchildren who truly lit up her life. Saturdays were often spent serving at Mission Outreach before taking her “princess” Trinity on special shopping trips. When Jameson came along, the outings expanded to include a Dollar Tree stop for a new toy. Gloria had a knack for catching Drew sneaking into the fridge late at night and always looked forward to catching up with Marcus, Khia, and Ananda during family gatherings. One of her greatest joys was chatting on the phone or during visits with her only great-granddaughter, Ava, whose cheerful “Hi Grandma!” will be deeply missed by us all.
Gloria is survived by son Henry and wife Kayla. Their children Ananda, Marcus, Khia and granddaughter, Ava. Son Robert and wife Tara and their children, Andrew, Trinity, and Jameson. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and siblings Jessie Lee Jenkins, Helen Mae Holmes, Clementine Issac, Leroy Curtis Issac III, and Leroy Curtis Issac IV.
Her life will be celebrated at a service held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm at St. Frederick’s Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of her remarkable life and to honor the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Though she will be deeply missed, Gloria’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
