He retired after 38 years in the Texas Army National Guard at Camp Mabry. He also played drums in country bands around the Austin area for 20 years. As well as working as a federal employee at Camp Mabry and Muellar Airport.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Ramona Duval Murphy, four children Patrick Dale Murphy, Linda Kay Murphy of Tulsa, OK, Dianne Elaine Murphy-Pearson and husband Ron Pearson of San Antonio, TX, and Michael Thomas Murphy of Marble Falls, TX. Henry also has five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Allie May Saunders Murphy and father Henry Thomas Murphy Sr.
Visitation will be held Saturday August 2, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, TX.
Services will be held Sunday August 3, 2014 2:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, TX.
Interment will be Wednesday August 6, 2014 1:30 PM at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
