

A Rosary Service was held Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7pm in the Evening in the chapel at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday March 7, 2015 at 10:00 am in the church.
Jack was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas on July 15, 1929. In 1951, Jack graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Finance. He served in the Korean Conflict in field artillery. He had 20 years in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Major. He went to work for Gulf Oil in 1964, installing the first IBM Computer at the Port Arthur facility.
From 1964-1981, Jack’s career with Gulf Oil and Occidental Petroleum took him overseas living and working in Venezuela, Spain, Korea and Peru. In 1981, Jack went to work for the FDIC, retiring from there in 1996.
In 1990, Jack met the “best thing that ever happened to him”. Jack married Carolyn Imming on July 19, 1990 in Midland, Texas.
Jack was raised at his grandmothers knee a Southern Baptist.
After attending an ACTS Retreat in March of 2003, Jack began his spiritual journey towards the Catholic faith. On April 11, 2004, Jack was received into the full communion with the Catholic Church. He spent many, many hours learning the faith and then sharing his knowledge with others in the RCIA program, adult formation and Wednesday morning bible study.
Along with his wife, survivors include his son Michael of Houston, Texas and daughter Kimberly Alexander of Longmont, Colorado. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and brother, Don.
