

James Arthur Watts, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024, at the age of 98 in Marble Falls, TX. Born on March 10, 1926, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Joseph and Loree Watts, James led a full and vibrant life dedicated to his family, his work, and his passions.
James graduated from Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University), where he not only earned his degree but also played football, showcasing his athletic talents. His commitment to service was evident early in his life as he served as a Private with the US Army Air Forces at Lowry Field, Colorado. James had a long and fulfilling career with McLean Construction in Killeen, TX, where he worked for several years, contributing significantly to the company's success and earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
A man of many interests, James loved to play golf and enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. His love for golf was profound, and he played passionately until the remarkable age of 90. James was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jackie Watts, on October 7, 2021. His enduring love and devotion to his family were the cornerstones of his life. He is survived by his cherished wife of 62 years, Shirley A. Watts, and their loving family:

A memorial service to honor James's life will be held at Clements/Wilcox Funeral Home on Saturday August 17th, 2024 at 2pm. The address is 1805 US-281, Marble Falls, TX 78654.
