Kathy Susan Dunn

Kathy “KD” Dunn grew up in Spencer, LA and was a graduate of Linville High School, as well as a graduate of Escoffier Culinary School in Austin, TX. She was an accomplished Chef and worked for many years at Tea Thyme Café in Marble Falls, TX. Her co-workers, family, and friends fondly remember her sense of humor and her love of pulling pranks, her dedication to her family, and giving back to her community and raised money for many charities. Besides her passion for cooking, she loved to camp and fish, loved going to the beach, and woodworking.

Kathy is survived by her life partner Julie Walker of Marble Falls, her parents Jasper and Betty Sue Snell of Spencer, LA, her sister Tracey Cain and husband Mike of Spencer, sister Stacey Arrendondo of Sterlington, cousin Sherry Spillers of Spencer, her nieces Misty and husband Jarrod Davidson, Heather Wells, Kristyn and husband Jim Atkins, and Ariana Arredondo, her great nieces and nephews Callie, Cooper, Wesley, Liam, Ainsly, Ayden, Emilia, Katelyn, and Raleigh.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Save the World Brewery in Marble Falls, TX from 4 – 8pm for all of her friends, family, and co-workers, and a memorial service on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 2pm at the Spencer Baptist Church in Spencer, LA for family and friends.

Save the World Brewery will also be holding a food drive for our local food bank, so please feel free to bring non-perishable food items to the Celebration of Life in Kathy’s honor
