Ronald Dale Sample passed away peacefully on February 28, 2012 while surrounded by his loving daughters, Ronell Creeden, Ronda Holitzke, Effie, his devoted ex-wife and friend of sixty-one years, and his son-in-law Dan Holitzke. Steve Creeden, his loving son-in-law of thirty-seven years was not able to be present physically but was by his side in prayer.
Ron was born on April 28, 1934 in Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Sample and wife Carrie, three grandchildren, Andrea Birmingham, Stephanie McCoy and her husband Austin McCoy and Chris Creeden. Ron has 6 great grandchildren, Barrett, Haleigh, Cody, Hanna, Grace and Carson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was the owner of Ronco welding in Kingsville for many years. He moved to the Hill Country, as he described as “God’s Country”, to be close to his daughter Ronda in December of 2010. Ron had many good times and was loved by everyone that knew him.
