Ruth Robbins

She was a member of Spicewood Baptist Church in Spicewood, Texas and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star. She had served as the Matron of the Austin Chapter. Ruth had retired from US Brewers and had also owned a typing service.

Survivors include her daughters Barbara Womack & husband Loyd of Spicewood,TX , Linda Sanders & husband James of Sylacuga, AL and Cheryl Walpole of Harwood, TX; son George Robbins of Luling, TX; sisters Shirley Shouse of Conroe, TX and Lois McVay of Taylor, TX; 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband August Robbins, 2 sisters Ruby Wegner and Faye Bryant and 2 brothers Floyd Walpole and George Walpole.

Memorial service will be Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Spicewood with Pastor Bill McCormick officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gideon’s Memorial Bible.
