Ruth Lou Tatum

After graduation, Ruth moved to Austin and married Marlin Tatum in 1943. Ruth and Marlin moved to Paleface in 1948 where they raised their six children.

Ruth was a longtime member of Spicewood Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family and her church.

Ruth was preceded in death by Marlin, her husband of 63 years, her daughter Mary Hewell and two great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son James Bishop and wife Peggy of Marble Falls, daughters Karen Glass and husband Jene of Dripping Springs, Dickie Hulsey of Montgomery , Marlene Norene of Kingsland and Donna Preiss of Marble Falls, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Lindley officiating. Interment will follow at Fall Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Bishop, Kevin Glass, Brett Hewell, Kelly Hewell, Jeremy Hulsey, Chris Schell and Denver Smith.
