William Scott LaCaze

William Scott LaCaze was born July 9, 1976 at Clear Lake Hospital in Webster Tx. He weighed 7lbs 2ozs. 20” long. His hair was the color of honey with a hint of red and eyes were a beautiful light blue. This made his dad think of the Karen Carpenter song “Close to You”

“On the day that you were born the angels got together

And decided to create a dream come true

So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold and

starlight in your eyes of blue”

One of Willie’s early pediatrician visits mom was given some ‘bad news.’ “Mrs LaCaze I am sorry to tell you this but your baby is never going to walk… (hesitation)...he's going to run!!

Willie took first steps at 10 months and was running shortly thereafter.

During his years at William's Elementary School Willie struggled with reading but loved music. It was determined that he wasn’t hearing well and tubes were put in his ears. His teacher complimented him on his voice which fostered his interest in music throughout his life. As an adult he became an avid reader and read many books.

Will was a natural athlete and on the football team at Queen’s Intermediate School. He participated in Pasadena Little League baseball and was on a summer swim team winning first place in the breast stroke. This was also when he was first introduced to the guitar. After several lessons he quit because he just wasn’t getting it. With the help of his friend Thomas, he was soon playing his guitar.

While attending Pasadena High School Will learned about auto mechanics and worked at the local music store which provided numerous job opportunities after graduating in 1996.

He attended Rice Aviation Aircraft Maintenance School and received his A&P, Airframe & Powerplant license in 1998. He was certified by the FAA and immediately hired by Southwest Airlines in Houston.

Later he moved to Las Vegas and obtained a position with MESA Airline. It was at this time when he met a beautiful girl named Marisol. As their relationship became serious they had a sweet baby daughter, Isabella Chel LaCaze born September 2, 2007. This little bundle of joy was and will always be the light of his life.

As the economic crash of 2008 was underway the company he worked for left Las Vegas. He chose to stay close to his daughter and began looking for contract work. After a couple years of various contract jobs, Will headed back to Texas in search of a greater opportunity.

He so loved his family and missed his daughter terribly. His brother, Seth was always by his side. They lived together in both Las Vegas and the Austin area.

His super charismatic personality leaves us empty in a way no other person can fill. He was creative and loved drawing, music and writing song lyrics. He was funny and would light up the room with laughter from his spontaneous jokes and comical antics.

William passed away on the 4th of July, 2020. As his sister, Lacey said, “He went out with a bang. This truly is his Independence Day!”

He leaves behind his beautiful daughter Isabella LaCaze and her mother Marisol Hernandez Kimball. Also surviving is his Father, William Wayne LaCaze, mother Nancy N Boike, and their spouses Lisa Shaw LaCaze and John M Boike respectively. Also his brother Seth Aaron LaCaze, sisters Julie Ann Cruz husband Abraham and Lacey Lynn LaCaze. Nieces and Nephews oldest to youngest Logan Pinkard, Camren-Grey Pinkard, Deseret Cruz,and Penelope Cruz.

The family wishes to invite friends & Family to attend the viewing/visitation at Clement-Wilcox Funeral Home 1805 Hwy 281 North, Marble Falls, Tx on Monday July 13th from 5pm-8pm
