

Willie Lloyd Maugham received his angel wings on December 29, 2015. Willie was born in Mudd, Tx on February 18, 1937 to Ollie A. Gentry and James E. Maugham. He was one of seven children. He followed the love of his life, Velma Jackson, from Marble Falls to Roosevelt, Tx only to marry her just 3 weeks later in Junction, Tx on October 19, 1957. In their 58 years of marriage they were blessed with 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren (soon to be 7).
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Annie Davis. He is survived by the love of his life Velma Maugham, daughters Ollie (Don) Busby, Betty Maugham, Leslie (Roger) Crowder and son Willie (Amber) Maugham, Jr. Grandchildren Melissa (John) Langs, Sarah (Jake) Wardlow, Ronald (Stephanie) Busby, Brandon (Peyton) Maugham-Schobey, Roger Jr. and Clint Crowder, Caitlin Hillis, Caitlin Pettit, Quinton and Conway and Kennedy Daniels and Cooper Maugham. Great-grandchildren Johnny, Brycen, Rylee, AJ, Korra, Baylor and baby Wardlow. Also survived by brothers Charlie, Walter, Cecil and Edmond Maugham, sister Earlene Maugham, brother-in-law Lewis Jackson and sister-in-law Faye Slocum.
After retiring from a long career at Texas Granite he moved on to retire from MFISD. However, his life long passion remained Small Engine Repair. Willie offered friendship and assistance to every visitor and customer until December 2010 when his health forced him to close his business. Willie will be missed by his many friends and family. Not only will people remember Willie's handiwork but that he would fill your heart and your tummy too.
