Aspasia was a longtime resident of Hunterdon County. She spent her early years in Flemington where she attended Flemington High and spent her summers enjoying the shore in Long Beach Island, NJ. After high school, she attended both Douglas and Centenary College where she received her degree in Education. After college, she taught 2nd grade at Delaware Township Elementary School. She married her childhood sweetheart Jack Little in a fantastic military wedding. The couple relocated to Virginia where Jack was on active duty.
The couple moved back to Flemington to start a family and embarked on a long successful business career. Aspasia was always behind the scenes helping Jack run the Weiner King. Aspasia came from behind the scenes to become the owner and operator of Central Liquors. She was revolutionary as a woman in the 1980’s in a male dominated field.
The couple’s love of the Caribbean led them to many extraordinary trips with family. They spent beautiful summers in Beach Haven, NJ. Her true happiness was being “Yaya” to her 10 grandchildren. She was incredibly indulgent with her love and never ending snack drawer. Eating with Aspasia was always special no matter the location. The meals she prepared from Marco Island to Beach Haven were legendary. Eventually, they settled on the island of Exuma in the Bahama’s.
Aspasia was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack Little and by her parents Penny and Stephen Sturges. Survivors include her daughter, Penny Little and her daughters: Allie, Kelly and Lizzy; her son, John (Trista) and their children: Jack, Will and Grace; her son, Stephen (Christine) and their sons: Sam, Charlie, Henry and George.
The family is planning to celebrate her life at a later date.
