David Hartley Purcell

David “Dave” Hartley Purcell of Marco Island, FL passed away on March 23, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife, Jane, and children: Steve (Jalila), Katie (Bryan), Andy (Jade) and Mike (Cat). Dave was born March 22, 1949. He had two brothers, Mark, his twin, and Kevin. All his family were his comfort in life, his grandchildren brought him so much joy and gave him life. Grandchildren include Lexi, Cody, Savanna, Connor, Layla, Auggie, Savvy and Jana.

Dave and Jane moved from Cincinnati, Ohio where they were raised. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati. Moving to Marco Island in 1980, he became a Realtor because he loved Marco Island and wanted to share its beauty with others. He became involved in the community and church while raising his children. Dave was the father everyone wanted, who loved and cared for his children and many others. He touched the hearts of so many children and friends. His clients became his friends. He always introduced them to the beautiful lifestyle of Marco Island. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. Boating was his dream. He loved his boat and his family and friends and wanted them on his adventures aboard “Far Out”. Countless boat parades brought spirit to Marco Island at Christmas, which was Dave’s favorite holiday. He will be missed by all.

A Funeral Service shall occur at San Marco Catholic Church, 851 San Marco Rd, Marco Island, FL on Wednesday April 10th, at 11 am.
