George A. Bagas, a resident of Marco Island, FL, passed away at the age of 83 on Wednesday 3/16/22 in Naples, FL. George spent most of his life in Brockton, MA, where he grew up playing baseball, football, basketball and hockey. He continued sports at Colby College, prior to his service with the US Coast Guard Reserve. George was an avid golfer and developed lifelong friendships as a member of Thorny Lea Golf Course. He shared his love of sports by coaching youth hockey in Brockton for many years. George was a hard worker, spending many years with Exxon, owning Madden Liquors in Brockton, and bartending in Fort Myers in his 70’s. George lived a full, fun life, and was a beloved husband, father, mentor and loyal friend. George leaves behind his loving wife Mary Bagas, his 3 children and their mother and 4 wonderful grandchildren all of whom will miss him dearly. Private family services will be held.
