

February 7, 1936 – November 15, 2013
Jim passed away very suddenly of a heart attack Friday morning November 15th. He was exactly where he wanted to be, in Marco Island, sitting in his favorite chair under the palm tree on the dock. It was very sudden. He had been with many of his family and friends in the day’s prior. He lived life to the fullest.
Jim was an avid boater, fisherman, golfer, and sports fan. He lived life to the fullest until the day of his passing. Jim was born in Wadena, Minnesota. He played baseball and ran track in high school. He served in the Army.
We were able to do things and go places we never thought imaginable. We experienced life to the fullest and have developed wonderful friends through these experiences.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents , sister and brother and oldest daughter Wendy. He is survived by wife of over 55 years, Paula Leanne, daughters Pamela (Mark) Gonrowski, Toni (Cathy) Thomas, Bryan Thomas, as well as 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and his precious dog Jasmine (Jazzy) who is waiting for her ‘papa’ to come home.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Old Marco Lodge Crab House on Goodland
Saturday November 23rd from 3:00 - 6:00pm (casual attire). Bring your memories and photo’s of Jim to share.
There will be a separate Celebration of Jim’s life in Minneapolis after the first of the year.
