Joshua Scott Bryant passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2023, at his home in St. Petersburg, Florida. Josh was 42 years old. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. Josh was born in West Covina, California on June 21, 1980. He was the first grandchild born in the Zorrilla family. He was followed by his brother Matthew and his sister Megan.
Josh graduated from Claremont High School, Claremont, California in 1999, moved to Portland, Oregon and then later to Seattle, Washington. After 15 years of rain and cold, he moved to sunny Florida. He worked at a wonderful restaurant with great friends on St. Pete Beach. St. Pete was his happy place.
Josh was creative, big hearted, fun loving, funny, loving and kind; he was loved by all. He is survived by his mother, Lili (Dale) Surber of Goodland, Florida, his brother, Matthew of Portland, Oregon and predeceased by his sister, Megan. He is also survived by his father, Dennis Bryant of Dayton, Oregon and his Bryant siblings, Justin, Jacob, Brittany, Denise, Sharon, Jamie, Joe, Jeremiah, and Jessa. Josh is also survived by his many loving friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, 1:00PM at Marco Lutheran Church, 525 N. Collier Ave., Marco Island.
Josh loved animals, he was Fur Dad to 2 dogs and 5 cats. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his honor be made to Friends of Strays in St. Petersburg - www.friendsofstrays.org.
