Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hilton Family. Mr. Hilton was always a pleasure to be around. We met him later in his life as friends of his daughter Carol. We were always impressed by his sunny disposition. He had a way of making others feel right at home. We consider ourselves lucky to have know him.With sadness

Dear Marge, Carol, Kenny and Jim: Ken will always be in my heart.  My thoughts are with you all. He fought so hard for so many years. How lucky we are to have had him with us for the fun and laughter and generosity he gave us over and over. I sure will miss him.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to Aunt Marge and all of my Hilton cousins and family.

My fond memories of Uncle Ken date back about five decades. From my vantage point (anytime I saw him we were on a family vacation) he was always the life of the party. When I was a little boy, we visited the Hilton home in Massachusetts. Uncle Ken would get up early and fling open all the curtains in the house to make sure it was full of sunshine. To this day, every time I do that at my home , I think of him. I recall one early morning being at our grandparents' house in Kentucky. We had a light breakfast and then headed off to the local swimming hole. I remember Uncle Ken standing on top of a large rock and diving in fearlessly. We all had a great time. As a little boy I was so impressed by his â€œfull of lifeâ€ nature.

I believe that my parents' most fun times were with the Hiltons. I remember Ken often making my Mom Doris laugh so hard she would have tears streaming down her face. Dad always looked up to Uncle Ken as an astute business man. How many people have the gumption to quit their jobs and start their own highly successful business focusing on something they love? Uncle Ken and Aunt Marge must have known that Standish Boatyard would be a wonderful place to raise their three wonderful children: my cousins Carol, Kenny and Jimmy.

Thanks to my parents and the Hiltons' generous hospitality, I even had the luxury of celebrating my 12th birthday party on a yacht, the Carol Anne the ??. Not too many kids can say that. One of the more recent great memories was the huge family reunion in Reunion which was funded in large part by Marge and Ken, and hosted by Carol and Donny.

Uncle Ken provided a lifetime of good memories for all of his family, friends, and acquaintances. As we all cope with the sadness of his passing, we can also reflect upon so many fond memories of laughter and cherished moments.

To Aunt Margie, Carol, Ken and Jimmy ~ I received a call from Jan the other day telling me that Uncle Kenny/your dad had passed on.  I have many good memories of him and our family times together through the years.  You have been in my thoughts and prayers this week and will continue to be.
