Mr. Alfred “Al” Lee Young, 83, of Smyrna, GA passed away January 21, 2013. He grew up in Sargent, GA and in parts of Florida. After high school, Al served honorably in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. After his service, he graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree. Al enjoyed a long career as an accountant working for Shell Oil, Turner Advertising, Chattahoochee Brick Company, and retired from Abrams Industries. He was an avid gardener, bowler and fan of Chet Atkins. He passed his favorite pastime of watching the stock market down to his son. Al was an honorable and extremely honest man. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Young and daughter Ronda. He leaves behind his son, Jerry and brother, James.
