Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by her husband Weston Vernon Hardy, sisters Betty Hale, Etta Riggins and Winnie Meyer and brothers Arty Sharp and Elmer Sharp. She is survived by her daughter Norma and husband George McDowell, Jr., grandchildren Melodee Justice, George McDowell III, Tamara Gann and Weston McDowell, great-grandchildren Amanda Dilbeck, Matthew Justice, Kimberly Bass, Elizabeth Nelson, George McDowell IV, Tiffany Mathis, Candy Carey, Edward Carey, Cheyenne Carey and Eric Carey, and great-great grandchildren Katy Grace Dilbeck, Meredith Rose Dilbeck, Amelia Ruth Mathis, Drew Nelson, Ryan Nelson, and Raleigh Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 3:00pm at Georgia Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor George M. McDowell Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3pm prior to the service.
