Bobbie Dean Crider

April 3, 1931 – April 27th 2025

Bobbie Dean Crider, born on April 3, 1931, to Roy O. Martin and Carlene Martin (née Gillespie), passed away peacefully in her home state of Georgia. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Bobbie lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to family, faith, and hard work.

Bobbie grew up in Georgia and graduated from Smyrna High School, where she was an enthusiastic member of the girls’ basketball team. It was during these formative years that she developed the values of teamwork and perseverance that would guide her throughout her life.

She met and married William Crider, with whom she built a strong and loving family. Together, they raised their son, Hugh Crider, and embarked on a shared entrepreneurial journey. Starting with a small grocery store, Bobbie and William’s business acumen and hard work led to the success and expansion of their ventures, eventually opening a second retail business.

Family was at the heart of Bobbie’s life. She was one of seven siblings and shared close bonds with her brothers Leroy Martin and Edwin Martin, and her sisters Clara Self, Laura Hendrix, Estelle McDougal, and Mary Jo Kovatch. Bobbie was especially proud of her grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Crider and Wesley Stephen Benjamin Dobson, whose lives she enriched with her wisdom, love, and stories.

Bobbie is survived by her beloved son, Hugh Crider, and her sister, Mary Jo Kovatch. She will be remembered for her warm heart, sharp wit, and the legacy of love and determination she leaves behind.

She now rests in peace, reunited with Hugh and those who passed before her, leaving behind a life well-lived and deeply cherished by those who knew her.

A visitaion for Bobbie will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 300603759, followed by a chapel service at 1:00 PM.

Bobbie will be laid to rest in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, GA 30060.
