Mr. Charles “Chuck” John Dougherty, Jr., 70, of Marietta, GA passed away December 18, 2013. He was born to the late Viola Vermell and Charles Dougherty on August 9, 1943 in New York, NY. After his graduation from Admiral Farragut High School in St. Petersburg, Fla., Chuck went to St. Petersburg Junior College where he received his bachelor’s degree. Chuck enjoyed a career that included working at Eckerd’s as a regional manager, owning a restaurant, and owning an advertising specialist company. He enjoyed photography and playing the guitar, playing in many bands with a love for all music. He was a very happy man who always had a smile on his face. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Vicki Dougherty, daughter, Eva Smith and grandson, Blake Smith. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill.
